Grant Ward's Tantrum

A new command appeared again in the hijacked feed on Skye's computer.

"Location confirmed. Enter D5 Zone."

Looking at the message, Skye grumbled, "Living like this is awful. You're constantly wondering if someone's watching."

Grant Ward looked ahead and said, "Testing backscatter."

After speaking, Grant Ward pressed a button on the frame of his glasses, then looked toward the car's hood.

Everything inside the hood was revealed. After confirming that the effect was working properly, Grant Ward ended the test.

By then, Skye had also finished making a wireless receiver and handed it to Grant Ward.

Grant Ward took the receiver, then said, "Killer B, I can't watch you, and I can't help you."

"I'll leave Skye's safety to you."

Killer B made a rap gesture. "Leave it to me, yo. With me here, she won't have a problem."

Skye said, "Got it. Wasn't counting on your help anyway. Killer B is enough."

After saying that, she even threw an arm around Killer B's shoulder, making as if to pull him over.

Grant Ward said nothing more. He simply opened the car door and got out.

Skye glanced at the computer screen and said, "I'll be watching you the whole time."

Grant Ward walked all the way into the building, and Skye's voice came through the device in his ear.

"Fitz and Simmons are ready for surgery. They can start at any moment."

"Remember, your hands are a man's hands. Don't look when you swipe the card."

Grant Ward said calmly, "I know."

When he reached security, Grant Ward took out the keycard and calmly swiped it through, his eyes fixed straight ahead the entire time.
