Sitwell looked at the two Kumogakure members and said with a smile:
"No problem. I'll arrange a plane on my end and take you both to New York right away. You can choose a residence in New York on the flight."
"Killer B should be out on a mission with Coulson right now, but it shouldn't delay things too long. Two days at most and he should be able to get back."
"As it happens, I also need to make a trip back to New York. We can return together in a bit."
Xi and Karui exchanged a glance, then both nodded. Karui said, "Two days is no problem. We can afford to wait that long."
Barton spoke up then. "I don't know how the Inca Temple should be handled. Should it still be left under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s protection?"
Xi shook his head. "This place has already been abandoned. When we came over this time, the Formation had already been rendered useless. This place has no value anymore."
Hearing that, Barton said in surprise, "Then... doesn't that mean the three of you can't return to Kumogakure?"
Xi smiled. "It's fine. We already have a better option."
"If it weren't for the convenience of contacting you, we wouldn't have taken this route at all this time."
When Sitwell heard that, he pushed up his glasses. It seemed Kumogakure had other channels; he just did not know where they were.
Another thing that puzzled him was why Kumogakure had chosen New York as its base. Could there be some secret there that he did not know about?
Barton nodded. "In that case, there's no need for S.H.I.E.L.D. to keep guarding this place."
Sitwell smiled. "Everyone, come with me. We'll head to New York now."
