Watching Coulson get out of the car, Mei said nothing more. Instead, she took another route and moved to flank the target.
Coulson followed behind, watching the direction the target was heading, and said to Mei through the headset:
"He's headed your way."
Mei immediately followed behind him, but he quickly noticed her and instantly ran into an alley.
Mei chased after him at once and reported, "Looks like he's trying to go into the alley."
Very soon, Mei chased him into the alley, and the two immediately started fighting.
Yet even though Lumley had once been a field agent in charge of combat, he was no match for Mei at all and was completely suppressed.
Mei lashed out with a whip kick, sending Lumley flying straight back into the piles of odds and ends stacked inside the alley.
Lumley got to his feet, assumed a fighting stance, and launched an attack at Mei.
But all of Lumley's attacks missed. To Mei, his attack speed was far too slow.
Mei seized the chance. Seeing the arm he swung at her, she grabbed it directly and threw him over her shoulder.
Bang!
Lumley was slammed heavily away. After crawling up from the ground, he knew he was no match for her at all. To avoid torture, he pulled the hidden cyanide from his watch, preparing to end his own life, but Mei kicked the object out of his hand.
Very quickly, Lumley was pressed to the ground by Mei and subdued.
At that moment, Coulson drove into the alley and said, "I'm Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D."
With his face pressed to the ground, Lumley said somewhat helplessly, "This is about that little girl, isn't it?"
Coulson's expression turned grave. It seemed the other man knew quite a lot.
Soon, Lumley
