Collecting Origin Essence, the Mortal Region

Kui Shi wasted no time. He directly invoked the authority of a Source Lord and bound the Ice Demon. The Ice Demon howled and struggled endlessly, trying to break free.

Kui Shi looked at the enormous Ice Demon as though he had seen a delicacy, slurping greedily. Then his body abruptly expanded, and without hesitation, he opened his mouth and swallowed the still-howling Ice Demon whole.

Burp!

Kui Shi returned to his original form and let out a satisfied burp. Sensing the Ice and Snow Source he had obtained, he grinned and sat cross-legged on the spot, closing his eyes.

He could not leave too quickly, lest the Future Self grow suspicious. He decided to digest the Ice and Snow Source here before going out.

When he opened his eyes again, who knew how many years had passed. Only a tiny wisp of the Ice and Snow Source remained; he had digested all the rest. His strength had advanced another step, and he had also gained the ability to command ice and snow.

"More or less enough. It's time to leave." Kui Shi opened his eyes and flashed an evil grin.

He transformed back into Ling Gui's appearance, flashed out from the depths, and returned to the Future Self's side.

The Future Self sensed the Ice and Snow Source aura on him and smiled approvingly as he stroked his beard.

Not long after, they left the White Expanse Snow Region and descended directly upon another extreme—the Scorching Desert.

Like Ice Venerable City, there was also a city within it called Scorching City. Its lord, Scorching, was Ice Venerable's natural nemesis.

Ice Venerable could not wait to kill him, and the Future Self was more than happy to oblige.

Without another word, they launched an attack on all of Scorching City.
