Bikqiu Royal Palace was filled with towering halls, its exotic scenery awash in brilliant colors.
Like many royal palaces, it was heavily guarded. Soldiers stood watch while patrols marched back and forth.
Tang Xuanzang, transformed from Sun Wukong, followed a palace official here and strode straight into the Central Deliberation Hall.
"Reporting to Your Majesty, the eminent monk from Tang has arrived."
The palace official had Sun Wukong wait outside the hall while he entered to make his report.
At the top of the hall, upon the throne, sat a man and a woman.
The man wore a thin mustache and looked young and somewhat refined. He wore a crown with a feather tucked into it.
The woman was seductively beautiful, with large, watery eyes. She wore a pale red, translucent gauze dress and was adorned in gold and silver. She was the queen of Bikshu Kingdom.
Upon hearing the report, the king did not react, but the Queen beside him looked excited and shouted, "Invite him in at once!"
At the foremost position on the left side of the hall stood a Daoist in robes, holding a whisk. His black hair was streaked with white. He was the National Teacher of the Bikh Kingdom.
Hearing that Xuanzang had arrived, he too looked toward the hall doors with anticipation.
A moment later, the palace official led Tang Xuanzang, transformed from Sun Wukong, into the hall.
The ministers all fixed their eyes on Xuanzang. The king above watched him closely, while the Queen beside him swallowed hungrily as though she had seen Delicious Delicacies.
Xuanzang, transformed from Sun Wukong, stepped into the center of the hall and bowed to the King of Bikh Kingdom with a Buddhist salute.
"This humble monk, Xuanzang, pays respects to Your Majesty!"
