Just then, the space trembled, and the Great Black Lotus suddenly appeared, transforming into a Black Robe Man.
He floated before the twisted-faced Tathagata, sweeping his gaze over him with an evil grin.
Tathagata was in such unbearable pain that he wished for death. Seeing the Great Black Lotus before him, he felt as though he had found a savior and shouted for it to kill him.
But the Great Black Lotus said, "Tathagata, do you want to reclaim everything you once had?" His expression suddenly turned solemn.
Tathagata was stunned upon hearing this, briefly forgetting the agony of the chains' corrosive torment.
He raised his head to look at the Great Black Lotus, his brows tightly furrowed.
"This Seat can save you. How about we join hands and get rid of Fotu?"
"You? What is your purpose?"
"Once we obtain the Three Realms, we shall divide this Primordial World equally and not interfere with one another."
With a wave of the Great Black Lotus's hand, the chains binding Tathagata shattered with a series of cracks. Tathagata collapsed to the ground as though he had been freed.
After a long while, he looked up at the Great Black Lotus. "How will we cooperate?"
The Great Black Lotus grinned. "No rush. Your Origin Essence is scattered now; you are no different from trash. We will discuss it after you recover. Come with This Seat!"
The Great Black Lotus waved his hand again, and the two vanished from the space in an instant, appearing within the Hall of High Heavens of the Heavenly Court.
