This Month's Update Goal Achieved

As of today, I had updated roughly 133,000 words this month, achieving the goal I set at the beginning of the month. Although the number of updated chapters might not seem like much, many chapters were actually longer than before—for example, charging for 2K but actually writing 2.2K or 2.3K—so the total word count was not small.

But there was no doubt that my update pace declined this month.

After returning home from work, the rhythm of life suddenly changed, and I needed to readjust and replan. Besides, I had missed too much during my child's growth. Now that I was home, I wanted to shoulder more responsibility. Too many thoughts and too little time—one thing led to another, and I kept taking leave at the end of this May. I am deeply sorry; I have no words in my defense.

I felt that I would rather slow down a little elsewhere than fall too short in my child's education and companionship. I deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone. Next month, I will once again rotate into closed-duty service, and this arrangement will likely continue for an entire year. So at least while I am home, let me give my child as much care as possible while also keeping up with updates.

As for the coming June, I should not aim too high. Let's set a practical update goal instead—110,000 words.

I will work hard to complete this update goal and do my utmost to balance both sides, betraying neither the Buddha nor you.
