I Am the Mountain Ape's Nemesis!

A huge crane arm hung from the ceiling, grabbing the other nineteen Mountain Apes one by one like a claw machine and placing them onto the other calibration platforms.

Desperate times called for desperate measures; no one cared about appearances now. The nineteen Mountain Apes were hoisted over one by one, roughly fixed into various postures, then prepared for fusion with their pilots.

One after another, soldiers with strange, exceptional skeletons stepped forward.

Their limbs were frail and thin, making them look terminally ill. Their slender arms seemed as though an ordinary person could snap them with a casual twist, and even standing was a struggle. Yet all their heads were enormous, their skulls extending and proliferating backward like those of aliens.

Bulging brain tissue could even be seen trembling and twitching beneath their hairless, somewhat translucent scalps.

These pilots possessed the life form best suited to the Mountain Apes.

The Mountain Apes' bodies were simply too enormous. The human neural signal transmission speed of two hundred meters per second was insufficient to command and control such colossal, powerful bodies.

Had they been natural creatures, that would have been one thing. But Mountain Apes had not been created to muddle through life and wait for death like animals in nature. They were meant to face high-intensity, fast-paced slaughter.

Thus, beyond the inherent primary brain, they needed a second brain to coordinate with it.

After entering a Mountain Ape's body, these pilots would have their hands, feet, limbs, and even internal organs dissolved away. Only their brains would transform into an appendage attached to the spine.
