Preaching and Delusion

"Science and Technology is a delusion."

A cool, pleasant voice said so.

Wang Dafa sat opposite the speaker, a noncommittal smile appearing on his face. "Is that so?"

Across from Wang Dafa sat a petite, exquisitely delicate young girl dressed in red-and-white Miko robes. With solemn poise and pristine simplicity, she performed a tea ceremony. Japan's tea ceremony differed from China's: China used tea leaves, while Japan used powdered tea.

The round-faced girl meticulously whisked the tea with a small brush, set the teapot squarely over the brazier, then folded her hands over her lower abdomen. Her gaze lowered, her expression faint and indifferent. "Precisely so."

"I cannot agree." Wang Dafa assumed the air of a man discoursing while seated and launched into an expansive argument. "Human civilization has developed to this day entirely by relying on the advancement of Science and Technology."

"The rice and sea fish you eat come from agricultural techniques and fishing techniques."

"Your tea comes from picking techniques and roasting techniques."

"Your pot originates from the techniques of pottery-making and porcelain firing."

"Not to mention, without spinning and sewing techniques, where would the clothes on your body come from?"

"Of course, if we are truly to cast aside the fruits of Science and Technology and meet Miss Daiyue frankly and honestly, I would be quite willing." As he spoke, Wang Dafa wrapped an arm around Daiyue beside him, lifting her fair chin with a finger, his face full of teasing amusement.

For the past few days, Daiyue had been telling him "little stories."

As their communication deepened, Daiyue proposed bringing over a master to properly preach to Wang Dafa. Wang Dafa readily agreed.
