With a whoosh, a golden arrow of light fell from the sky and struck Yota head-on. Boundless radiance erupted in an instant, as though a miniature sun had risen in the sky.
In contrast, the silver arrow Artemis fired slipped swiftly and stealthily through layer upon layer of obstacles, shooting toward Yota's heart from behind. Then, with a snap, it struck Yota's back and turned into a cloud of glowing dust.
"Wail beneath the searing Sunfire, sinner who has offended the gods!" Apollo declared arrogantly. If not for the bruises Yota had beaten onto his face, he would have looked rather godly.
Then black mist seeped out, and the miniature sun was torn apart and vanished from the center as if it had encountered a black hole.
Yota stood in the middle with his eyes closed. Then he opened them, a savoring expression on his face, and looked at Apollo with naked greed and desire.
Apollo shuddered slightly. Why did that look resemble the way he looked at goddesses? Come to think of it, when his father Zeus looked at certain delicate, pretty young men, he sometimes wore that same expression.
Yota had no idea what Apollo was thinking, but in his eyes, Apollo was far better than any ordinary goddess.
This was practically an unlimited solar power bank! That arrow Apollo had just fired was worth nearly half a year of sunbathing for Yota!
And such a move was absolutely no burden to Apollo. Using it hundreds or even thousands of times a day would not be much of a problem. Did that not mean that with Apollo the power bank, the sunlight absorbed in a single day would equal several hundred years' worth?
