The ash-gray giant eagle spread its wings and swept across the sky, its enormous feathers glimmering faintly beneath the sunlight. The colossal bird of prey seemed to bathe in tiny flickers of flame as it darted beneath the clouds, its sharp eyes reflecting the vast land below that had already turned to scorched earth, the Crystal Cluster army wandering at the edge of that land, and the Iron Rangers steadily pushing the front line forward.

After one slanting pass, the giant eagle turned and dove rapidly toward the ground, aiming for the spearhead of the Iron Rangers.
