God Hunt

Surging energy was fed into the system. Technological creations from their ancient homeland began to hum amid the flow of power; energy conduits leaped with excitement, Mechanical Structure cheered, and the enormous Elemental Warp Tower radiated layers of dazzling brilliance. Under the powerful magic pulses, the barrier between the elements and the real world was broken. A special spatial rift slowly opened, as though a dark, profound eye had appeared at the heart of a vortex, its depths shimmering with rippling light—

The sirens cheered as vast swathes of blue light abruptly rippled through the warp field. One siren after another became hazy and fluid within that glow, raising endless vapor. In almost the blink of an eye, eleven thousand Deep Sea Warriors, Wave Vanguard, and Tidal Masters completely lost their forms, evaporating into surging steam that swept toward the Elemental Rift high above.

Thunderous howls echoed within the warp field. Across the immense square, the sirens' figures rapidly thinned out. As the "expeditionary force," condensed into enormous masses of vapor, entered the rift, the energy pipelines stretching along the terrain toward distant motherships around the square dimmed one by one. Large numbers of auxiliary devices also opened their heat-dissipation grilles and began releasing their accumulated thermal energy.

Petia let out a soft breath, her silver-white hair gently lifting in the sea breeze. The ruler of the deep sea raised her head and gazed at the distant sea surface, as if her line of sight had crossed the barrier of space to see her sisters already far away on another continent.
