Dark clouds hung low, and torrential rain poured down. The entire White Sand Region was shrouded in boundless darkness. Beneath the swirling cloud mass, the curtain of rain seemed like an ocean hanging upside down from the horizon to the earth, so dense that one could not help wondering whether they might suffocate within it. Amid this apocalyptic darkness, howling winds, and driving rain, countless bizarre limbs sprouted, and innumerable indescribable things cheered as they coalesced from the rain. Every witness to it—the soldiers, officers, and war technicians aboard the Iron Throne—would never forget the spiritual shock of that sight for the rest of their lives.
The entire crew of the Iron Throne had passed a sanity check, and the whole train was now filled with a positive, uplifting, optimistic atmosphere.
"Shut down the Mind Protection System." Commander Maryland felt that his mind had never been clearer. Determining that the train's Mind Protection System was no longer needed, he gave the order.
That indescribable structure was still moving. It hung down from the vortex atop the clouds, like some enormous Deep Sea Creature licking the earth with countless tentacles. Yet that massive structure was not the only thing emerging from the cloud mass—when lightning exploded and the illumination was at its brightest, Maryland could see many smaller humanoid creatures weaving between those tentacles. They appeared to be carrying all sorts of tools, busily at work amid that chaotic feast. With a Supernatural Being's keen vision, Maryland could make out that some of them resembled Miss Tir from the territory.
But the forms of some of the others were not so easy to describe... Beyond their humanoid bodies, they had pieced together all manner of strange and grotesque limbs. Some could scarcely even be called limbs, as though they had simply...
