The raging wind and torrential rain had finally stopped. The apocalyptic darkness and curtain of rain, along with the Deep Sea Creatures that had emerged within it, had departed.
At the end of their "meal," a massive rift had opened in the swirling storm clouds, and shimmering ripples like an upside-down ocean had glimmered within it. The Deep Sea Allies had returned to their domain through that rift. They had taken most of the giant deer's remains with them, leaving only some "remnant bones" behind.
Those remnant bones now lay quietly several thousand meters from the Iron Throne, between the White Sand Hills and the White Water River. It had once been a flat expanse of open ground, but now there was an enormous crater there, filled with shattered rocks and lifeless soil, as though a chunk of the earth had been forcibly gouged out.
Maryland led a group of officers and soldiers to the crater's edge. Looking down at the twisted, tangled bone fragments and scraps of flesh at the bottom, still giving off intense Magic Fluctuations, the commander could not help but feel deeply moved.
