The first day in the sandbox world passed quickly amid their exploration of the temple and city.
The simulated giant sun at the horizon was gradually sinking toward the skyline. Its magnificent sunset glow cast the silhouette of Desert City-State Nym-Sandor across the land. Gawain came to a platform near the temple and looked down upon the long-abandoned, deserted city, seemingly lost in thought.
Footsteps sounded from behind him. Gawain turned and saw Selena had come to his side.
"We'll rest tonight in an empty house near the temple," Selena said. "Do you think that will be all right?"
"There's no reason it wouldn't be," Gawain said casually. "You know this place better than I do. Make the arrangements yourselves."
Selena parted her lips, seeming somewhat hesitant. Several seconds passed before she finally spoke. "Have you decided how to deal with the Upper Narrator? For instance... how to lure it out?"
This was not merely her question. It was also what Yuri and Magnan wanted to ask but did not dare ask.
Thus far, the Upper Narrator remained something intangible and formless in their eyes. It existed, and its power and influence could be seen everywhere in Sandbox One, yet it had never exposed any physical form before them. Selena could not imagine how they were supposed to fight such an enemy, and as for the Outworld Wanderer...
She, Yuri, and Magnan had watched all day without seeing the Outworld Wanderer take any proactive measures to search for or oppose the Upper Narrator. Like them, Gawain had spent the whole day investigating and gathering information, which inevitably left them with doubts—
