Saint Realm

Saints stand above Quasi-Saints. The divide between the two realms is portrayed as an almost uncrossable chasm: even peak Quasi-Saints ordinarily cannot wield the Power of Law freely, while Saints can 702 761 762.

The Saint Realm contains nine tiers. A Great Dao Saint stands above the Ninth Tier 787.

Abilities & Traits

Power of Law

Saints can freely transform their power into the Power of Law, an ability normally inaccessible to Quasi-Saints.

• A Saint’s mastery of Law reflects an absolute understanding of the Great Dao 761.
• Hun Xiu’s ability to use the Power of Law as a mid-stage Quasi-Saint led Sect Master Tongtian to judge that his punch rivaled a newly ascended Saint’s attack 761.
• Saint-level strength can be sufficient to devastate more than half of the Primordial Continent if unleashed there 786.

Saint’s Might

Saints can exert oppressive spiritual pressure over weaker cultivators.

• Primeval Lord of Heaven’s Saint’s Might forced Chanjiao disciples to kneel; Taiyi Zhenren received especially severe pressure 719.
• Saint’s Might can disturb the spiritual energy of an entire region when multiple Saints confront one another 751.
• Saints are treated with reverence by Primordial World experts, who consider their plans and actions beyond the comprehension of those below the Saint Realm 683.

Divination and Heavenly Secrets

Saints are commonly regarded as all-knowing and capable of deduction, but their divinations can be obstructed.

• Heavenly secrets become chaotic during the Tribulation, limiting even Saint-level calculations 696 697.
• A Saint can conceal another’s heavenly secrets from other Saints 723.
• Three Saints jointly attempting to deduce a hidden individual suffered backlash and spat blood 738.

Saint War

Saints generally fight in Chaos rather than the Primordial World.

• A Saint War in the Primordial World could destroy the land itself; the fragile Western Continent is specifically said to risk shattering under such a conflict 751.
• Chaos can withstand Saint-level battles that the Primordial World cannot 786 803.
• Sect Master Tongtian’s Immortal Slaying Sword Formation is stated to require four Saints to break 724 726.

Relationship with the Investiture of the Gods List

The Investiture of the Gods List changes the usual inviolability of Saints.

• The list’s requirements include three Saints, ten Quasi-Saints, fifty Grand Luo Realm experts, and hundreds of lower-ranking immortals 780.
• Once Hun Xiu refined the list and the God Striking Whip, both treasures detached from the Heavenly Dao and became exclusively his 780.
• Hun Xiu later awakened the True Spirits of four Saints on the list; they recognized him as their master 814.
• The Black Iron Chains generated by the list can bind Saints, drain their mana, and leave them unable to resist or self-destruct 1012 1013.
• Hun Xiu ultimately pulled Hongjun, the Six Saints’ True Spirits, and the Heavenly Dao into the list 1016.

• Taishang Laozi — One of the Six Saints; participates in Saint-level disputes surrounding the Investiture of the Gods List 780 783.
• Primeval Lord of Heaven — Saint and Chanjiao leader; repeatedly clashes with Sect Master Tongtian and Nuwa 723 786.
• Sect Master Tongtian — Saint and Hun Xiu’s teacher; controls the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation 724 752.
• Daoist Jieyin — One of the Two Western Saints; cooperates with Daoist Zhunti and is later bound by Black Iron Chains 705 1012.
• Daoist Zhunti — One of the Two Western Saints; projects an incarnation into the Three Realms and is later bound by Black Iron Chains 923 1012.
• Goddess Nuwa — A Saint whose concealed strength frightens Taishang Laozi and Primeval Lord of Heaven 802 787.
• Patriarch Hongjun — Teacher of the Six Saints and representative of the Heavenly Dao; later captured by the Investiture of the Gods List 683 1016.
• Houtu — Becomes a Saint, causing Primordial World experts to regard her actions as beyond question 683.
