The Soul Guidance Communicator in Qian Gu Dong Feng's hand suddenly rang as he was lost in thought.

He picked it up and glanced at the number. His pupils instantly constricted as he pressed the answer button.

"So you're finally willing to contact me?"

Qian Gu Dong Feng spoke coldly.

His expression was grim, with a trace of resentment surfacing on his face.

"What? Do you miss me that much?"

A sinister voice came from the other end, chilling him to the bone.

"Do you think so? We spared no effort in helping you back then, but you people vanished. When we needed you most, we couldn't find a single one of you.

You really have no sense of decency."

Qian Gu Dong Feng gritted his teeth and snapped.

At the thought of it, his hand clenched tightly around the Soul Guidance Communicator. If he had not still needed to talk, he would have crushed it long ago.

Those bastards had vanished without a trace when they were needed. It was utterly infuriating.

"Help us? It was merely mutual benefit. All it meant was that we had a common enemy. The enemy of an enemy can be a friend. Old friend, I happen to have some excellent news for you."

The voice on the other end remained cold and sinister.

"Good news? What good news could you possibly have?"

Qian Gu Dong Feng froze briefly before asking.

Yet he did not believe the Holy Spirit Cult could have any good news. What counted as good news to them might well be bad news for the Spirit Pagoda.

"Of course it is good news. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to unite the entire world under our rule. Wouldn't you say that is good news?"

The sinister voice sounded again.
