Background

Himeko became a Valkyrie to investigate her father's mysterious disappearance. Although her Honkai Energy resistance was only marginally better than that of an ordinary person, she underwent Artificial Stigmata implantation and forced herself onto the front lines rather than pursuing the scientific work she was better suited for. 572 704

Before teaching at St. Freya, she served in the Fifth Valkyrie Squad. By the time she drunkenly speaks of that period, she is the squad's sole remaining member; the losses remain a major source of grief and survivor's guilt. 316

During a Siberian mission to eliminate Emperor-class Honkai Beasts and capture Siegfried, Himeko served under Captain Laguna. The operation ended disastrously: Laguna and Himeko's comrades died amid the confrontation with K423 and the Herrscher of the Void. 700 703
