Although things had turned out a little unexpectedly, it did nothing to dampen Albert's good mood. The more contestants got eliminated, the easier it would be for him to obtain the Golden Cauldron. He just wondered how many contestants that Black guy had eliminated. Hopefully, he would not be the first unlucky victim the man had targeted.
Come to think of it, the red sparks he had seen earlier might have been that guy's handiwork.
The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
What a nice guy!
Albert promptly gave him a good-guy card.
Come to think of it, he did not even know the man's name. The Quest Panel seemed to have mentioned it, but never mind. His name was not important. They would probably never meet again anyway.
Albert used the Revival Charm to wake the patrolman the Black guy had knocked out. The man seemed to have taken a hard fall, and he did not look to be in good shape.
"Are you all right?" Albert did not step forward to help him up.
"I'm fine. It just hurts a little from the fall. Where's that bastard? And where's my wand?"
The patrolman struggled to his feet, his face full of fury. He had never imagined that a contestant would dare attack him.
What was that guy trying to do?
"Well, after you passed out, he took your wand and dueled me." Albert pointed at the unconscious Black guy and continued, "Later, he was accidentally hit by a rebounded Stunning Spell and passed out cold."
"Good thing you didn't let him get away with it. Who knows what that bastard might have done otherwise?" The patrolman looked Albert up and down. When he had first arrived, Albert had been in quite a sorry state.
