"What?"

Hermione did not understand what Albert meant.

Albert raised the binoculars to the sky and said to the two of them, "They won't miss an opportunity like this."

"They?"

Hermione looked up at the sky in confusion, still unable to figure out who Albert meant by "they." This guy always spoke so mysteriously that no one could make sense of him.

"Dementors." Isabelle could not stand it any longer and explained for Albert.

"Dementors?" Hermione lowered her binoculars and looked at Isabelle in confusion. "But didn't Headmaster Dumbledore forbid Dementors from entering the school?"

"Not being allowed into the school doesn't mean they can't get in. The Ministry of Magic's control over the Dementors isn't as reliable as you think." Albert spoke meaningfully. "Especially for a group of starving Dementors."

"Did you know this would happen all along?" Isabelle asked softly.

"This was actually the inevitable outcome." Albert shook his head. "There's a huge crowd around the Quidditch Pitch, which is an enormous temptation to Dementors. Not to mention that this place is filled with excitement and high spirits right now. To those starving Dementors, it's like a feast."

"But the Ministry of Magic should have..."

"The Ministry of Magic is already finding it difficult to provide enough human victims to satisfy the Dementors. Faced with such temptation, starving Dementors will definitely pounce without a care for anything else. Even if Dumbledore warned them not to enter the school, it would be useless." Albert knew very well that to truly intimidate Dementors, one needed force, not verbal warnings.

The rain grew colder.

Against the flickering light and darkness of the sky, strange black silhouettes could vaguely be seen. Just as Albert had predicted, the Dementors nearby had all been drawn in by the lively atmosphere of the pitch.
