Albert was quite satisfied with the meal. Most of the dishes were Spanish-style delicacies.
Among them was a cold soup called "Andalusia," which Bard considered something one simply could not miss when visiting Spain in summer.
What impressed Albert most, however, was Spanish seafood rice.
Rice was exceedingly rare in Europe.
There were fewer European countries where rice was a staple than one could count on a single hand, but there was no denying that Spanish seafood rice tasted truly wonderful—astonishingly so.
There was also a famous Spanish egg custard dessert after the meal.
Well, it was pudding, really, and it tasted excellent.
The bartender also recommended Spain's famous fruit wine to them.
However, Albert had no intention of drinking. After dinner, he was preparing to return to his room to rest and chat with Isabelle about what he had seen in Spain.
Just as he was about to rise and head upstairs, the noisy bar gradually fell silent. Everyone turned toward the stage, as though a concert were about to begin.
"Tonight, Yanira will sing three songs at the tavern. She's the most famous female singer in the Spanish wizarding world, and she has plenty of fans internationally too." Bard introduced the sweet-looking blonde girl onstage to Albert. "She's also the bar owner's daughter."
There was no denying that Yanira was a beautiful blonde girl. She looked quite young, and her voice was sweet as well, but Albert thought she was merely all right. After all, he knew quite a few beautiful girls, so he was somewhat immune to so-called beauties.
However, after one song ended, Albert realized that all his attention had somehow become fixed on the singer. As he listened to her sing, an inexplicable sense of joy rose within him.
"Something's off."
