After the mascots from both sides made their appearance, it was time for the Quidditch players to enter the field.
Ludo Bagman shouted each Quidditch player's name at the top of his lungs. When Viktor Krum finally appeared, the stadium's atmosphere was completely ignited, and countless spectators cheered for him.
"Is that Viktor Krum?"
Albert watched the young Seeker hovering above the stadium on his broomstick through his Panoramic Telescope with great interest. He was a tall, thin man with thick brows, large eyes, a hooked nose, and sallow skin. He was not particularly handsome—certainly not the pretty-boy type.
With the referee's sharp whistle, the match officially began.
Both sides flew at tremendous speed. The Quaffle was rapidly passed between Chasers from the very start, and even Albert had to admit that compared with this thrilling match, Hogwarts Quidditch games were practically children playing around.
Still, compared to the exciting match, Albert was more interested in the Panoramic Telescope in his hands. He had discovered another use for it: as long as he turned the slow-motion dial on the right, everything in his field of view slowed down. It was practically magical high-tech.
As far as Albert remembered, no spell could achieve that effect.
Even more astonishingly, if he pressed the match analysis button on top and aimed the lenses at the attacking Chasers, purple words such as "Eagle Head Formation" appeared in view. Even Albert could not immediately figure out how it worked.
Yet despite possessing such advanced technology, the wizarding world was exceptionally backward in certain respects—especially when it came to communication devices, like the one that had appeared at the International Alchemy Convention.
If he had not seen it with his own eyes, Albert could hardly have imagined that wizards lacked such technology and still relied on
