On a street south of Diagon Alley, an inconspicuous magazine office had appeared at some point. The offices of Defense Guide were located there.

Remus Lupin, editor-in-chief of Defense Guide, was reviewing their recent development plans. He raised his tea and took a sip, his gaze falling on the shop across the street. That was the office of the Daily Prophet, with Whizz Hard Books right beside it.

Compared with those two well-established companies, their newly opened operation seemed much shabbier. Many things were still in their infancy.

Across from Lupin, Sirius Black sat back in his chair with one leg crossed over the other, reading the latest Daily Prophet and completely ignoring the miserable situation they currently faced.

Defense Guide had been running for nearly a month. Although things had gone much better than Lupin had expected, they were still operating at a loss.

Just then, an owl flew in through the open window, dropped an envelope into the mailbox, flapped its wings, and flew away.

"Albert's letter?" Sirius asked without looking up.

"No, it's from Mr. Jordan. He probably wants to discuss how to get money out of Bagman with you." Lupin opened the mailbox, took out the letter, and placed it on the desk before Sirius. Pulling out a piece of parchment from his own desk, he continued, "This month, we sold a total of one hundred and forty-five copies of Defense Guide. Fifty of those were given away for free, so we actually only sold ninety-five copies. By the end of the month, we probably won't even reach two hundred."
