"I heard the Wizard Cards tournament was moved forward?"
When Cedric saw Albert approach, he pulled out the Defense Guide he had borrowed a few days ago from his bag and handed it back with a smile.
"Yeah, they all thought the Wizard Cards tournament should be brought forward to avoid clashing with the Triwizard Tournament. I think it makes sense. Everyone will definitely be more focused on the Triwizard Tournament in the second half of the year. Hardly anyone will care about the Wizard Cards tournament."
"I also heard..." Cedric looked at Albert and grinned. "The Wizard Cards champion gets to be your partner at the Yule Ball?"
"Not my partner." Noticing the curious looks the girls around them were casting their way, Albert immediately corrected him. "Just a few dances at the ball. It was all Fred's terrible idea. He thought it would bring more popularity to the Wizard Cards Club."
"What if the Wizard Cards champion is a boy?" Cedric blinked and teased, "Would you have to go up and dance with him? I think quite a few girls would love to see you dancing with a boy."
"No. If the Wizard Cards champion is a boy, he'll get an extra little gift." Albert waved the Defense Guide in his hand.
"This magazine is pretty good, but it's a little expensive." Cedric complained, "If it were cheaper, I'd subscribe with my own money."
"Is it that expensive? I think the knowledge in it is all very practical." Albert had a fairly high opinion of Lupin. "Professor Lupin's teaching is pretty good too. He's actually very suited to teaching first-years who've only just begun studying Defence Against the Dark Arts. Unfortunately, his identity as a Werewolf means no parent would be willing to let their child near him.
