On the way back to the Gryffindor Common Room, Harry finally could no longer hold back and poured his heart out to Albert.
"You've said that several times already." Albert spoke gently. "I believe you didn't do it."
"Why?"
Actually, Harry did not know why he had said that. He was probably just too agitated and wanted someone to talk to.
"Why what?"
"Sorry." Harry apologized quietly, feeling awkward.
"What do you want to know?" Albert asked, studying Harry's embarrassed expression.
"I want to know... why you believe me." Harry looked awkward after saying it.
"Then I'll tell you, though I hope it won't make you uncomfortable." Albert smiled. "Your magical power is indeed stronger than that of most students in your year, but in my view, you aren't a particularly powerful wizard."
"What do you mean?" Harry felt inexplicably irritated.
"To deceive a magical object as powerful as the Goblet of Fire would be very difficult at your current level." Albert patted Harry on the shoulder. "It would require an exceptionally powerful Confundus Charm. I'd bet that parchment of yours only had your name on it, without the name of a school."
"How did you know?" Harry could not help asking. He felt Albert might know many things. He had always had that impression of him, as though Albert knew everything.
"The person who threw your name into the Goblet of Fire couldn't actually interfere with its selection of champions. So they could only use the simplest method: a Confundus Charm to confuse the Goblet into thinking that four schools were competing in the Triwizard Tournament.
