"Harry mentioned in his letter that you were attacked." Sirius Black did not pursue the subject, instead bringing up something else that had been weighing on his mind.

Albert turned to look at Harry. The latter scratched his cheek awkwardly, evidently not expecting Sirius to bring it up directly with Albert.

"Yes, I suspect Peter Pettigrew did it." Albert withdrew his gaze from Harry and spoke to Sirius in the Two-way Mirror. "I even made a prediction about it. Although it did not give a precise warning, the evidence did point to Peter Pettigrew. I have every reason to believe he was behind it."

Hermione looked up at Albert, her eyes full of worry. She knew Peter Pettigrew had been sent to Azkaban because of Albert. If he really wanted revenge and tried to harm Albert because of it, the consequences would be unthinkable.

Sirius stood there with his mouth open, dazed, as though lost in thought. After a long silence, his voice came through the Two-way Mirror again. "Could you help Harry make a prediction? I want to know who put his name into the Goblet of Fire."

Albert raised an eyebrow. "You want me to make a prediction?"

"Something like that." Sirius nodded. It was his duty as a godfather. He could not know that Harry might be in danger and still do nothing, simply watching Harry face the coming danger alone.

"Actually, you do not need a prediction to guess that one of The Dark Lord's followers put Potter's name into the Goblet of Fire." Albert scooped up Crookshanks before it could knock over the Two-way Mirror with its paw. "That should save you some money."

"How can you be so sure?"
