Thick, giant wooden boards stood in the clearing, dividing it into several areas and separating the frenzied fire dragons.
The dragons were bound tight; thick Fire Dragon Skin straps were wrapped around both their thighs and their necks, and only those straps, together with heavy iron chains, could keep them under control.
The Swedish Short-Snout and the Common Welsh Green were closest to the Champions. Hagrid gazed fondly at the Swedish Short-Snout, his eye sockets seeming to have grown a little moist.
"Oh... they're truly beautiful..." he kept up that operatic tone. "Look at those lovely silver-blue scales... beautiful! Just like wearing a gorgeous evening dress..."
