When it was time to strike back in earnest, Xiao Hu was no longer in a hurry.

Having received the order to attack, all it needed to do was ensure maximum effectiveness.

It did not have to wait long before seizing an exceptionally rare opportunity.

Five Attack Ships entered effective range, while First One's minimum requirement had been four.

Three beams suddenly flashed out, instantly striking the three nearest Attack Ships.

The three Attack Ships immediately lost power. Though they were only stripped-down Company-Class Warships, they were still far beyond what fragile Attack Ships could withstand.

Xiao Hu did not even bother tallying the results. It had full confidence in its attacks.

Immediately afterward, two secondary guns concentrated their fire on the fourth Attack Ship.

The Main Gun still required some time to recharge before firing.

The fourth Attack Ship fared even worse, bursting directly into flames.

Seeing this, the fifth Attack Ship, which was relatively farther away, was scared out of its wits. "Tactical evasion! Pull back!"

Unfortunately, even standard evasive maneuvers required time to react.

Three more beams flashed out. The Main Gun and secondary guns all targeted that unlucky vessel.

The warship shuddered several times in succession, then began to shake violently.

The captain was highly experienced and shouted without hesitation, "It's going to explode... abandon ship!"

Hatches across the vessel opened at once, and one crew member after another ejected. They moved as fast as they possibly could.

In terms of protecting their crews, military warships far surpassed Anti-Smuggling Warships, let alone ordinary armed starships.

After all, the military was more likely to face brutal battles. Those Veteran Soldiers were the army's greatest asset and had to be protected.

Even so, not every crew member escaped safely.
