The B-rank Awakened One was seized by the throat, struggling helplessly in midair, yet he did not dare retaliate in any way.
Seeing his face gradually turn red, then even begin to purple, the receptionist finally gathered her courage and pressed the alarm.
The shrill alarm had barely begun to sound when an enormous Coercive Pressure descended, accompanied by a cold snort.
"Who has the gall to cause trouble here?"
Chaoyang Academy truly lived up to its name. It was far stronger than those academies in the Edge Star Domain. Even one of its ordinary businesses had a Supreme stationed there.
"What the hell are you?" Paranoid's aura surged again as he spoke coldly. "Get out here!"
"You've got some fucking nerve!" The Supreme was angered as well.
Then, with a flicker, a burly middle-aged man appeared before them.
He looked coldly at Paranoid, his aura still bearing down on the room. "State your name and origins. Don't say I didn't give you a chance!"
"What the hell are you?" Paranoid sneered. "Which class were you in?"
The middle-aged man hesitated, but still gave his background.
He had already guessed that the other party was likely a Chaoyang graduate. Otherwise, no one would dare cause such trouble outside Chaoyang's gates.
Since they were alumni, he had to show some courtesy, even if Chaoyang graduates were everywhere to him.
"You're from the younger generation," Paranoid snorted. "I'm more than a dozen classes ahead of you. There was some Water Attribute guy named Lin... did he become a Supreme?"
The middle-aged man thought for a moment before answering, "Collins? He died while he was still A-rank."
Chaoyang Academy never lacked exceptionally gifted people, but there were truly few he remembered.
"Yes, him." Paranoid nodded, then sighed softly. "Another one who never got
