Background / History

Lu Qing’s consciousness transmigrated into the body of a boy around ten years old. He awakened after two days unconscious in a dilapidated house in Nine Li Village, where hunger and poverty were immediate threats. His younger sister, Xiao Yan, shared her food with him, and Lu Qing’s Ability Vision first manifested when he examined the bun she brought him. 1

The Lu family had settled with villagers after fleeing famine. Lu Qing’s grandfather had reportedly been a scholar who fell on hard times, while his father never continued his studies. The villagers believed Lu Qing’s unusual speech and literacy came from family teaching. 11

After learning that Happy Life Stronghold might be connected to his parents’ deaths, Lu Qing investigated the stronghold himself. The campaign ended with him killing nearly a hundred people, an experience that initially unsettled him before he reaffirmed his resolve to pursue the Martial Dao according to his own convictions. 74 81
