Sima Hui Niang originally traveled as part of the Sima Three Cultivators, a small rogue-cultivator group from Great River Market alongside her brothers Sima Xian and Sima Wenjie. All three entered the Luo Tian Association, where Hui Niang was assigned to Gold Hall because of her aptitude for commercial and interpersonal affairs 147.

Luo Chen promoted her from Gold Hall directly to Chief Executive of the association. The appointment placed her above nearly all members despite her status as an outsider, because she had successfully led her brothers as independent cultivators, treated lower-ranked cultivators well, refused to be intimidated by powerful customers, and had few internal ties beyond her siblings 176.

Her leadership was immediately tested during a nearby demonic-beast threat. Although startled by the news, she remained composed, questioned the unusual origin of the ape-type beasts, and ordered the elders of the four halls to assemble 177.

As President, Hui Niang became responsible for finances, personnel, logistics, discipline, and long-term expansion. Golden Core Calamity and Recovery

During a period when Luo Tian Sect faced internal division and external danger, Hui Niang underwent an abnormal breakthrough. The Spiritual Rhinoceros Gu transferred an overwhelming quantity of Luo Chen’s mana into her body, rapidly raising her to Golden Core Seventh Layer. She arrived at the Three Paths River battlefield and rescued Luo Tian cultivators who were in grave danger 778.

When Luo Chen returned after a century away, he began treating her by drawing out the foreign mana, sealing her Golden Core, and repairing her body. He could not simply destroy the Gu, however, because it had become connected to her heart and Divine Soul 778 779. With the Golden Core sealed, she was restricted to middle-stage Golden Core strength and could not safely resume ordinary cultivation 781 786.

Family, Demon Heart Gu, and Death

Hui Niang became Luo Chen’s Dao companion and later bore their son, Luo Lingxi. During her pregnancy, Luo Chen used the Nurturing Spirit Flower Array to shift the Demon Heart Gu’s connection from Hui Niang’s Divine Soul to their unborn child 870 871.

She stepped away from major sect affairs to focus on her health and child, but remained deeply involved in Luo Lingxi’s future. To protect him from the cold and the Gu’s effects, she spent ten years consuming her own blood and vitality, leaving her prematurely weakened and aged 998.

After Luo Chen discovered the Calamity Gu’s use among sect disciples and extracted it from Luo Lingxi, he confined Hui Niang for ten years over her involvement in the matter 916. Luo Lingxi’s condition was eventually resolved, allowing him to cultivate normally 998.
