About five minutes later, Xiao Heng finally emerged from the space behind an eave, pulling Zi Yan along with him.

"What's wrong? Why are we leaving all of a sudden? Aren't we going to snatch the Heavenly Rank Combat Skill?" Zi Yan looked at Xiao Heng in confusion.

"We'll snatch the Heavenly Rank Combat Skill later. We have something else to do first." Xiao Heng could not be bothered to explain. Standing atop the eaves and looking down, he saw the great hall ahead. It was covered over, and a spatial barrier blocked ordinary sight from seeing inside.

Behind the great hall lay a forest. Mountains could be seen in the distance, though they were not particularly close, and they appeared quite tall.

Looking around again, the area was a stretch of flat ground. Aside from the buildings, there were only forests and the occasional low hill. Nothing stood out.

Xiao Heng closed his eyes and opened his Third Eye. His hands formed seals as a special layer of light covered his eyes. In an instant, everything before him changed. A clearer, brighter world appeared before his eyes, with different areas bearing different colors.

His gaze swept across the surroundings, and Xiao Heng could not help frowning. He continued looking, searching back and forth several times, but still found nothing unusual. The most unusual place remained the great hall before him, where light flickered and energy fluctuations continuously spread outward.

"Could I have guessed wrong?" Xiao Heng muttered as he continued searching.

"What did you get wrong?" Zi Yan asked, utterly baffled.

Xiao Heng shook his head slightly. "Did you notice anything special nearby? Or somewhere with a good view, somewhere that overlooks this place but isn't particularly conspicuous?"

Zi Yan shook her head blankly. "No."

Xiao Heng's frown deepened.
