"It was a gift from my girlfriend." Xiao Heng took the handkerchief. As a man, he naturally would not care much about such things. Xiao Yi Xian had given it to him, along with quite a few others. As for whether Xiao Yi Xian had embroidered them herself, Xiao Heng remained doubtful.
"Oh!" Bai Xi responded, then teased, "Your girlfriend gave it to you, and you're just letting me use it?"
"It's fine. She won't know." Xiao Heng pretended to speak cautiously.
"Hehe!" Bai Xi laughed at Xiao Heng's words. Still, she did not think much of it. She merely found him rather agreeable, and her fondness and curiosity toward him grew somewhat.
"Fine, I'll give you a chance!" the girl said bluntly. "Pay the bill!"
"This counts as giving me a chance? Then I'll give you a chance—pay the bill yourself." Though he said that, Xiao Heng still rose and took out a Gold Coin to settle the bill. When he turned around, the girl was already standing behind him with that huge pile of snacks in her arms, casually eating a Candied Hawthorn.
"What are you looking at? Never seen a beautiful woman before?" Noticing Xiao Heng's gaze, the girl haughtily said. Though it sounded a little narcissistic, she was not wrong.
"No, I just wanted to tell you that I already ate that one." Xiao Heng looked at her, hesitated, but still told her the truth.
Xiao Heng could clearly sense the girl freeze for a moment. Her cheeks then unconsciously reddened, yet she still forced herself to remain calm and pretended to be carefree. "It's fine. I don't mind."
After saying that, she quickly walked ahead of Xiao Heng. Even if she was naturally rather open, she was still a girl who had never experienced much.
