Beneath the [Star Fruit Tree], Song Changsheng sat withered and still for five years, pondering the mysteries of the Dao of Yin and Yang within the river of laws.
[Yin-Yang Law] was easy enough to understand. All things in the world were born from Yin and Yang Qi. Mastering these two currents of qi was equivalent to grasping part of the operating rules of the Heavenly Dao, allowing one to calmly borrow this power.
This was the universal template of laws. At their root, all Law Insights meant grasping a portion of the Heavenly Dao's operating rules, then borrowing its power.
The underlying logic was the same; that was why there was a saying: understand one law, and ten thousand laws would become clear.
But this was not the "Dao."
The "Dao" was life's ultimate goal. It no longer floated upon the surface, but pointed directly at the essence of the Heavenly Dao.
If one could not see this point clearly, one would be a lost lamb, unable to find the direction ahead. Cultivation would naturally become difficult to advance further.
Sometimes, knowing too much was instead a kind of pain. Over the years, he had read countless books, and his mind held far, far too many answers. Everyone had their own understanding of the two words yin and yang.
He seemed to be a lone skiff adrift upon a boundless sea. All around him was endless whiteness, and he simply could not find the direction that belonged to him.
Some said yin was the Lunar Star, while yang was the Solar Star.
The sun rose in the east, the moon emerged in the west. yin and Yang waxed and waned, beginning and ending as they pursued one another.
The Lunar Star forged darkness, while the Solar Star reflected light.
