The entire hall erupted in an uproar.
Then came utter silence.
The atmosphere had been quiet before, yet lively. But the moment they heard their own Alliance Leader speak those five words, the room fell so silent one could hear a needle drop. The figures projected through magical artifacts seemed to become silent films in an instant, as though their signals had suddenly been cut off.

"The fifth and seventh seats are Elders and Stewards. They oversee branch divisions throughout the lands and are mostly enforcers with real authority."
"What about the ninth?"
"Nine is the phoenix's tail, the youngest of the lot. They are also called the Nine Elders, a title granted only to the most promising young talents in the Origin Dao Alliance." Tai Yi tossed the jade slip in his hand to Tu Shan Jun. "Junior Brother, have a look. This is what I know about the Origin Dao Alliance."
Tu Shan Jun smiled. "They seem rather wary of even numbers."
"If my guess is correct, Qi Yuan should be a disciple of a major Eastern Desolation sect. Even if he is not, he must have countless threads tying him to one." Tai Yi
