Chen Yuan was born to Chen Feng and Xu Yunrou, Inner Sect disciples of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Their status, strengthened by their connection to Chen Xin's Chen Clan, allowed Chen Yuan to study and train freely from childhood. At age six, he awakened the Seven Kill Sword and Innate Level 9 Soul Power during the sect's Martial Soul Awakening ceremony. 2 4

His talent drew the attention of Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong. Chen Xin accepted him as a personal disciple and designated successor, while Ning Fengzhi authorized him to draw cultivation resources from the sect treasury and asked him to protect Ning Rongrong. 2
