He had no idea how he had gotten here. Just moments ago, he had been on that plain, held captive by someone who forced him to order his Servant to "use your Noble Phantasm."

His captor had seen his fear, too, and offered to spare his life if he ordered his Servant to unleash that Noble Phantasm against the captor's companion.

To be honest, Gord had been bewildered when he first heard the demand. What kind of teammate held a Servant at bay so their ally could seize the Master, then asked that Master to order the Servant to attack their own teammate with a Noble Phantasm?

Even in his panic, Gord thought the person had to be insane.

But he had obeyed. To stay alive, he had ordered Saber to activate the Noble Phantasm exactly as instructed.

His last memory was of his captor pulling the blade away from his neck. Before he could do anything else, a powerful shove struck him from behind.

Gord could not resist the force. His body pitched toward the ground, but just before he hit, a passage made entirely of golden energy suddenly appeared in the earth rushing up to meet him.

He fell through the Golden Gate and was deposited in this godforsaken white space.

He did not know why they had brought him here, any more than he knew why they had made him order Saber to use a Noble Phantasm.

One thing, however, was perfectly clear: he had been captured, and this white space was his prison.
