Background / History

Takuson's hometown was destroyed by demons, leaving him as a traumatized child in a fallen town. Xiu Er rescued him and initially intended only to find him an adoptive family, but Takuson followed quietly and eventually asked to become Xiu Er's student so he could avenge his people. 35 36

Xiu Er initially refused him as a powerless burden. After discovering his Goddess's Blessing and capacity for Goddess Magic, however, Xiu Er accepted him as an apprentice. Takuson was unafraid of Xiu Er's inhuman appearance, believing that Xiu Er looked more like an angel than a demon. 36

His early instruction was harsh and practical: Dungeon clearing, intensive physical conditioning, repeated death-and-revival training, and simulated battles in the Virtual Combat Arena. Though revenge drove his initial obsession with strength, years of mentorship gradually tempered that fixation. 36 37 43

By age fifteen, Takuson had become a muscular warrior-monk with extensive combat experience. He later continued travelling with Xiu Er and Volumen, protecting civilians from demons, monsters, and bandits. 42 47 53

At nineteen, he rescued Alice from monsters and helped escort her toward her relatives. He subsequently volunteered to purge the bandit stronghold responsible for attacks on merchant caravans. 53 56

Long after Xiu Er's departure, Takuson became known as Takuson the Berserker. He was remembered for fighting numerous powerful demons alone during the encirclement of the Demon King's Castle and returning alive. 79

Appearance

Takuson grows from a small, quiet survivor into a physically imposing warrior-monk. By nineteen, he is described as approximately 1.9 meters tall, black-haired, and built “like a wall.” 42 53 65

  • Muscular physique developed through Xiu Er's rigorous training. 37 42
  • Wears monk's robes despite carrying himself like a frontline warrior. 42 57
  • Carries a Sacred Canon at his waist and usually fights with a battle axe. 42 53
  • Wears armor or armored gauntlets in battle. 70

Personality

Takuson begins as a quiet, prematurely mature child whose grief and desire for revenge make him desperate to gain strength. His determination remains intense even after repeated failures, deaths within training, and overwhelming opponents. 35 39

Years under Xiu Er's care allow him to regain a more childlike side. He is kind and protective toward children, treats Volumen warmly, and shows empathy toward Alice after learning of her parents' death. 42 46 53 54

In combat, Takuson becomes cold and ruthless toward enemies he considers irredeemable, particularly bandits who prey on humans. Outside battle, he is cheerful, excitable, and eager for Xiu Er's approval. 42 56 58

Takuson trusts Xiu Er completely and views the teacher as more than a mentor: a savior, parental figure, and emotional pillar. This attachment makes him protective of Xiu Er and briefly insecure when Xiu Er begins teaching Volumen. 47 48 65 90

Abilities & Skills

Goddess's Blessing and Goddess Magic

Takuson's Goddess's Blessing enables him to use Goddess Magic despite primarily following the path of a warrior. 36 57

  • Binding Magic — Creates golden bindings that restrain targets and interrupt attacks; effective against his Mirror Demon clone. 37 67
  • Goddess's Spear — Produces golden spears that pierce enemies from below. 56 57
  • Goddess's Three Spears — Pins multiple opponents or immobilizes limbs. 58
  • Goddess's Ten Spears — A larger spear barrage used against powerful monsters. 40
  • Uses the Sacred Canon to aid wounded guards after the demon attack on the city. 50
  • His Blessing is an ability monsters and Mirror Demon-created replicas cannot duplicate. 67 68

Magic to Reflect Ranged Attacks

Takuson independently develops a defensive spell after studying Xiu Er's combat recordings and grimoires. 57

  • Creates a transparent defensive membrane around himself. 57
  • Reflects incoming ranged attacks back toward their source. 57
  • Reflected attacks gain tracking properties. 57 69
  • Can be bypassed by attacks that detonate before reaching the barrier. 69

Warrior Combat

Takuson's physical training, practical experience, and arena battles make him a highly capable melee fighter. 37 42

  • Fights with a battle axe and can exploit the weak range of larger weapons. 70
  • Uses feints, positioning, environmental traps, and enemy overconfidence to compensate for strength gaps. 37 50 67
  • Possesses sharp senses capable of detecting attacks and hidden trap mechanisms. 49 67
  • Can defeat ordinary monsters with a single axe strike and overpower experienced bandit fighters. 53 58
  • His combat experience against simulated demons lets him handle large groups of humanoid opponents. 57

Resilience

Takuson endures extreme training and repeatedly returns to battle after defeat. 36 39

  • Xiu Er's life-saving mechanisms can return him through a Space Gate and restore fatal injuries with the Bullet of Four. 36 56 58 59
  • He is not invulnerable; Invisible Leslie, a giant demon controlled by a mage, and multiple replicated clones have inflicted severe or fatal damage on him. 38 58 69

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Battle Axe — His primary melee weapon. 37 53
  • Sacred Canon — A holy book worn at his waist and used to cast Goddess Magic. 36 42
  • Earpiece / Locator — Allows communication with Xiu Er, tracks his status, records defeated enemies, and can provide mission information. 53 57
  • Demon-detection device — Given by Xiu Er to locate a concealed demon during the city invasion. 49
  • Return to Town life-saving mechanism — A one-use emergency function that opens a Space Gate and triggers restoration when he suffers fatal damage. 56 59
  • Demon-Breaking enhancement — A temporary buff applied to his axe by Xiu Er's clones; dispels magical defenses and magic-created weapons. 69 70

Relationships

  • Xiu Er — Savior, teacher, and parental figure. Xiu Er accepts him after discovering his Goddess's Blessing, trains him over many years, and ultimately allows him to decide his own future. 36 48 92
  • Volumen — Fellow disciple and companion. Takuson initially feels jealous of the attention Xiu Er gives her, but they develop a playful sibling-like dynamic. 46 48 92
  • Alice — A girl rescued by Takuson from monsters. He shows her compassion, accompanies her toward her relatives, and earns her concern after returning badly wounded from the bandit stronghold. 53 60
  • Zera — Demon warrior simulated in the Virtual Combat Arena. Her battles teach Takuson to rely on strategy and Goddess Magic rather than direct clashes. 37 39
  • Mirror Demon clones — Replicas of Takuson and Xiu Er that test his caution, adaptability, and ability to exploit the clones' inability to use Goddess Magic. 67 70
