Following the three professors, Noah and the other three made their way up to the third floor.
Although the Headmaster's Office was on the eighth floor, Professor Dumbledore had his own separate office, which was located on the third floor.
This office was behind an ugly, enormous stone beast. As long as one gave the stone beast the correct password, it would leap aside, and the wall behind it would split in two. Behind the wall was a spiral staircase that led straight to the office door.
As for the office on the eighth floor, Noah remembered that it should contain the school's Sorting Hat, the Gryffindor Sword, and the Pensieve, while Fawkes the Phoenix rested on a gilded perch.
The way was quiet, probably because the Giant Beast was roaming about, sending all the students back to their respective common rooms.
Besides, it was already rather late. Under normal circumstances, there really should not have been anyone in the corridors at this hour.
Yet for some reason, this atmosphere made Evan and the other two feel somewhat oppressed.
They were all Ravenclaw students, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with their intelligence. Naturally, they could guess that their gathering place was probably about to be exposed.
After all, whether it was Noah or Kate, the spells they had cast were definitely not something students their age should have mastered.
Kate was one thing, but Noah had been far too unlucky. The spell he had used was actually one invented by Professor Snape!
Wasn't that just terrible luck?
Of course, they did not blame Noah. They knew that Noah had requested a notebook from the Room of Requirement, and when he found the spell recorded inside, he had learned it. Had it been them, they probably would have done the same.
But who could have known that the owner of that notebook would be Professor Snape?
"Noah, aren't we too unlucky?" Evan glanced at the distance between themselves and the professors before quietly grumbling to Noah beside him.
"Huh?" Noah did not understand at first, but he quickly realized what Evan meant.
"A little, yeah. But I think it should be fine. At most, we'll have a proper talk with Professor Dumbledore about that room."
"We really should explain it properly. It would be best if we could get our little organization officially recognized." Luns and Kate nodded as well.
They knew that their little group probably could not remain hidden this time. They had only truly enjoyed about a month of it, yet they had already made unimaginable progress.
If they could keep this up for a long time, who knew how far they could go in the future?
Unfortunately, they had no choice now. They could only hope Professor Dumbledore would be more lenient, so they could continue making such progress.
Before long, they arrived at Professor Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore was sitting in his seat, and he showed no surprise when he saw Professor McGonagall leading Noah and the others inside.
Thinking about it, that made sense. Although he paid attention to Harry, that did not mean he ignored other outstanding students.
In particular, the four Ravenclaws led by Noah had become quite famous at Hogwarts recently. They performed exceptionally well in every class.
Dumbledore naturally could not overlook such outstanding performances, especially since he also knew that these boys had mastered knowledge well beyond their year.
To be honest, he had looked into these children as well. The results proved that they were all qualified Ravenclaws, and the kind that had absolutely no connection to Voldemort.
Evan, Kate, and Luns all came from wizarding families, but unlike those pure-blood aristocrats, their families could only be considered ordinary small households.
Their families had stable incomes, and they had received good upbringings since childhood. Most importantly, none of them liked Voldemort. That reassured Dumbledore greatly—though even if they supported Voldemort, Dumbledore would not say much. There were too many people like that, and at most, he could only guide them.
Noah, on the other hand, was a child straight out of a Muggle orphanage. Before receiving his Hogwarts acceptance letter, he had not even known that the wizarding world existed.
In other words, Noah Finneal was the least likely person to have any connection with Voldemort. He had reached this point entirely through his own talent and intelligence!
Professor McGonagall did not know what Dumbledore was thinking. She truthfully reported everything she had witnessed to him.
After hearing it all, Dumbledore was somewhat surprised. Then he turned his gaze toward Noah and the other three.
"Children, tell me your story. I'm very curious. And, was that really Sectumsempra?"
"Yes, Professor Dumbledore."
Noah sighed. He could only explain this matter himself.
For the sake of better development in the future, and to gain Dumbledore's support, Noah had to make everything clear.
"This is what happened. Not long after school started, I came to the eighth floor one day. I wanted to ask Professor Flitwick about some spellwork, but I got lost on the eighth floor."
"Oh? Did you go down the corridor on the right?"
"No. I didn't want to lose my life. I walked through the corridor on the left several times, and just as I was about to leave, I suddenly saw a door appear on the wall."
"Oh? Did you find the Room of Requirement?"
Dumbledore was somewhat surprised. Finding the Room of Requirement was no easy matter.
But from Noah's description, he had basically concluded that Noah had indeed found that place, then brought his roommates in to study with him.
"Yes, Professor. I found the Room of Requirement." Noah nodded honestly.
"So the knowledge you learned ahead of time was all requested from there?" Professor McGonagall frowned.
"Yes, Professor McGonagall. Whether it was spells, Transfiguration, or Potions Class knowledge, it all came from there." This time, all four of them nodded. In truth, that was more or less the case.
"Then what about Sectumsempra?" Snape could no longer hold back. He had remained silent until now, judging whether these boys were lying, and it seemed that they were telling the truth.
"In the Room of Requirement, we could even have it simulate a professor to teach us. I asked it for the notes of an outstanding Potions student so I could study from them, and then..."
"And then you got my notes, and learned the spell I recorded in them, correct?"
"That appears to be the case, Professor Snape."
Snape shook his head helplessly. So he had been the one to teach Noah that spell after all.
Reading someone else's notes was hardly unusual. Many people liked doing that. But of all things, the Room of Requirement had given Noah his notes. Snape did not know what to say.
"I understand, Mr. Phileas." Professor Dumbledore had been listening from the side all along, and now he finally spoke.
"I believe you. I must say, your approach was quite good. Using the Room of Requirement to study truly is an excellent idea." Professor Dumbledore smiled and praised them, but he soon voiced his concern.
"Since the Room of Requirement is so effective, what do you plan to do from now on?"
