Llane Wrynn led his troops swiftly toward orc territory. With Garona guiding them, they would not lose their way.
After a day or two, they finally reached the edge of orc territory, but the sight before them made everyone's hearts sink.
Corpses. Dozens, perhaps hundreds, of orc corpses had been hung upside down and bound along the road ahead. Their deaths had been gruesome. Some had been forcibly killed by external force, while others looked just like the human soldiers' corpses they had found before.
Their muscles had completely withered, as if they had been dead for hundreds or thousands of years. Even Stormwind City's battle-hardened soldiers felt a chill at such a cruel method.
"The Frostwolf Clan."
Llane carefully examined the banners near the corpses and soon recognized their owners as the orcs who had intended to ally with them.
Clearly, after the previous negotiations had been exposed, the orcs had not spared these "traitors." In particular, Gul'dan, whom Durotan had wanted dead, would never let them off easily. The situation gave Llane a headache.
"There are no more allies. Now we can only rely on ourselves."
Llane sighed. Especially when he noticed something like a massive gate slowly taking shape, he immediately turned to the soldiers behind him and shouted, "Soldiers, save our people! Rescue those prisoners! Charge!"
With that, Llane drew his longsword and took the lead, riding toward the orc camp. As a king marching to war, Llane demanded that he lead from the front.
All the Stormwind City soldiers were stirred by their king's courage and immediately let out earth-shaking cheers as they charged toward the orc camp. Yet this enormous assault seemed not to draw the orcs' attention at all, and Llane began to feel that something was wrong.
