"Mm." Ymir nodded and said nothing more. These civilians really were weak; while they did not lack prey, the hunting teams had to consume most of the food to maintain their strength, leaving little for the women and children. It was only right to let them build up their health.
"Haro! Take your men, grab the fishing nets, and come with me!" Ismir called over Haro, one of his squad leaders.
"Yes, my lord!" Haro immediately set down the tent he was holding, led the Nature Guardian squads to grab the fishing nets, and marched grandly toward the Swift River.
"Ymir, take them and set up the tents. Clear out the debris around here while you're at it, and open up a patch of ground!" Ismir said as he looked at the weed-choked wasteland.
"Alright!" Ymir nodded.
"Be careful! I sent you to catch fish, not feed them!" Ismir yanked back a soldier who had nearly fallen into the water, then cast a spell to summon vines around their waists. The Swift River had clear waters and fat fish, but there were plenty of large creatures in it as well, including many aquatic magical beasts. The fishing boats from Giant Port and Flowing City were staffed with Professional Soldiers and equipped with defensive Dispel Magic Arrays, which showed just how dangerous fishing could be.
"Sorry, my lord!" The soldier who had been pulled back blushed.
"Watch yourself!" Ismir shook his head helplessly.
"My lord, is this enough fish?" Haro asked as he tossed the vine-strung fish onto a nearby cart.
"Are you feeding cats? There are over a hundred people here. Is this even enough for soup?" Ismir glanced over. Good grief, there were only twenty or thirty fish, each about arm's length. Taking that back would be insulting.
