Background / History

Cruze was created through cloning from Mwu's father's genes. This origin left him with a severe genetic disease and resentment toward both Mwu and Mwu's father; he considered Mwu's childhood failures a cause of his own existence. 369

During the conflict surrounding Genesis, Cruze piloted the Destiny Gundam and attempted to escalate the war toward global destruction. He leaked the N-Jammer Canceller and Xiao Ran's location to the Earth Force, intending for opposing factions to eliminate one another. 364 365 His plan failed, and after the war he was hospitalized alongside Mwu. With his objectives disrupted and treatment newly possible, he began letting go of some of his former hatred. 369

Xiao Ran brought Cruze to Prometheus as a follower and promised treatment for his condition. Digitization initially eased Cruze's symptoms without curing their cause; Gene Serum later erased the Genetic Disease from his profile entirely. 369 373 383

In the Gundam W world, Cruze joined the Earth Federation's Peace Faction while Graham operated within OZ. He built influence in both camps, manipulated hostile Participants into eliminating one another, exposed himself as the Peace Faction's final defense after its collapse, and ultimately helped end the Earth–Space Colony conflict. The outcome made him a public savior despite the deception behind it. 531 532

During a later Mars–Earth mission, Cruze became a Mars Faction commander, secretly reached an agreement with Earth, and helped a Mars royal ascend to the throne to complete the mission. 643
