Innate Spiritual Treasures form naturally, while acquired or postnatal treasures are refined artificially. Artifacts of corresponding grades may possess the same number of restrictions, but Innate treasures are inherently more powerful 3.

• Discovering hidden treasures — Spiritual Treasures may be concealed behind formations or restrictions. Qing Xuan breaks twenty-four restrictions on Buzhou Mountain to uncover the Earth Spirit Pearl and thirty-six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls 5.
• Treasury selection and exchange — Powerful factions keep extensive treasuries. Qing Xuan obtains treasures from the Phoenix Clan, Dragon Clan, Wu Clan, and Treasure Distribution Cliff through selection, bargains, wagers, or force 11 16 50 58.
• Artificial refinement — The Gathering Origin Cauldron can refine artifact materials and concoct pills. Using it, Qing Xuan creates the mid-grade acquired Spirit-Rich Twin Pot from Innate Profound Gold, dragon and phoenix corpses, and other materials 17 18.
• Foundation extraction — The Spirit Devouring Blood Mosquito Banner can extract the foundation of other Spiritual Treasures for later refinement or transfer. Qing Xuan uses it to strip the foundations of the Three Pure Ones' companion treasures before merging them into a lotus platform 47 53 54.
• Transformation through refinement — Qing Xuan refines Ming Yue's former tortoise shell with the Qian Kun Cauldron and merit, changing it from a postnatal object into the High-grade Merit Innate Spiritual Treasure, the Mysterious Tortoise Shield 93.
