This was a place far removed from the mortal world.
It lay at the very pinnacle of the sky, unreachable by conventional means, within a special extradimensional plane.
Countless pieces of hard, pure-white stone formed the foundations of the architectural complex here. Within the ancient patterns on their surfaces were woven all manner of secret histories that had existed since the dawn of creation.
Even a casual line, if it could be deciphered, might contain information about some long-buried race, or even the remnants of a treasure.
And amid this complex of white stone structures,
there stood a special hall.
There was no concept of area here; its interior was a special space that could be stretched without limit.
Seats of every conceivable shape floated in the air like stars.
Of them,
the vast majority remained unoccupied. Only a very small number bore illusory figures whose features could not be made out clearly.
At the center, surrounded by countless seats like stars paying homage to the moon, stood the most special seat of all.
A seat that looked like the very center of all things!
A humanoid figure more than ten meters tall sat upon it.
His features were neither ugly nor beautiful, neither young nor old. One could only vaguely judge that he was male.
He had silver-white hair and a beard, while his expression resembled an endless sea beneath calm winds and still waves, revealing nothing.
He wore a black robe seemingly cut and shaped from a starry sky.
An unknown number of stars, like countless light dots, formed a peculiarly structured pattern across it. The pattern continuously revolved on its own, giving it an inexplicable sense of harmony that did not feel out of place in the slightest.
