Early the next morning, Wen Yu was crouching by the window, carefully tending to the little flowers she had cultivated with such care. Just as her fingertips touched a petal, Tian Mucheng's power yanked her over—the meaning could not have been clearer. He wanted her to accompany Moyan while she handled official business.
Moyan glanced sideways at Xu Jiujiu, who stood beside Wen Yu with the same bewildered expression, then raised a brow. "Wen Yu, why did you bring an extra person?"
"This is called an assistant, understand?" Wen Yu rolled her eyes so hard her disdain nearly overflowed.
She had been planning to admire the flowers she had painstakingly raised first thing in the morning, only to be abruptly dragged over by Tian Mucheng to accompany this lazy dragon in revising documents. She really wanted to slap him.
"No!" Moyan bristled like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She whirled toward Tian Mucheng, who was standing nearby with his arms folded and watching the show, her voice full of grievance and dissatisfaction. "Why does she get an assistant while I don't?"

"How is that the same?" Moyan's eyes widened as she glared at Tian Mucheng, unable to hide her displeasure. "She's obviously your little assistant, the spy you sent to keep an eye on me and make sure I work properly, isn't she?!"
Looking at Moyan's flushed cheeks and obvious fury, Tian Mucheng knew it was time to offer the girl a little sweetness. He softened his tone. "All right, all right. I'll have A Luo come help you. Satisfied now?"
