Freed from that suppression of the Great Dao, the Green Ox immediately assumed human form. He was a tall old Taoist priest, lean and clear-featured, with an imposing bearing and tremendous majesty.
He was precisely the old Abbot of East Sea Observation Daoist Temple, the unquestionable Heaven Elder of Lotus Flower Blessed Land. Since Lotus Flower Blessed Land connected to Lotus Cave Heaven, he would occasionally wrestle with the Dao Ancestor and compete in the heights of their Dao Law.
The old Abbot was also the hidden master who had created the Scroll Painting Four, including Zhu Lian and Sui Youbian. He was furthermore acknowledged throughout the world as one of the strongest great cultivators of the Fourteen Realms.
Among all beings beneath Heaven, he possessed the oldest seniority and greatest age. He belonged to the same generation as Tuoyue Mountain Great Ancestor, Bai Ze, and Chu Sheng.
Setting age aside and speaking only of one's cultivation years—their "Dao age"—Liu Sixteen of the Literary Sage lineage and Zhang Lu, who had concealed his identity at the Sword Qi Great Wall, were both considered juniors.
