Background / History

Spirit Hall maintains local branches that conduct Martial Soul awakenings for village children. In Xi Nan Village, its branch was a small stone house bearing a faded “Martial Soul Hall” plaque; deacon Su Yuntao used six black stones, a blue crystal ball, and a hexagonal magic array to awaken Martial Souls and test Soul Power. The branch could also issue Martial Soul Proofs and direct qualified children toward Spirit Master academies. 1 2

The organization actively seeks promising recruits. When Jiang Zhen tested with Innate Full Soul Power, Su Yuntao immediately invited him to join Spirit Hall and promised him its best resources; Jiang Zhen declined, though Su Yuntao left him the option of approaching the Nuoding City branch later. 2

By the time Jiang Zhen arrived in Spirit City, Spirit Hall’s two principal power centers—Pope Bibi Dong’s administration and Qian Daoliu’s Worship Hall—both treated the unknown young Titled Douluo as a potentially decisive ally or threat. The Hall received his party in distinguished accommodations, summoned continental factions for his enfeoffment, and formally granted him the title Taiyi Douluo. 112 113 115

After the ceremony, Qian Daoliu named Jiang Zhen an Honorary Worshipper. The position granted him elevated standing, access to Worship Hall resources and conveniences, and freedom from ordinary worshipper obligations. 116

Spirit Hall hosted the Grand Finals of the All-Continent Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament in Martial Soul City. Its Golden Generation reached the championship match but lost to Jiang Zhen’s four-member Makeshift Team. 153 162 163

Following Qian Renxue’s ascent as Heaven Dou’s emperor, the empire entered a strategic alliance with Spirit Hall. The agreement recognized Spirit Hall’s rights to establish academies, propagate its faith, and participate in local governance; Hall personnel were subsequently integrated into the imperial bureaucracy. 202

Jiang Zhen later issued a Divine Decree establishing the Spirit Hall Empire with Spirit Hall as its foundation and Bibi Dong as empress. Spirit Hall’s Spirit Master legions helped pacify the resisting Star Luo Empire, completing continental unification within three months. 243

Under the new empire, Bibi Dong publicly proclaimed Jiang Zhen’s New Soul Beast Spirit Ring Rules, which ended the former practice of obtaining Soul Rings by hunting Spirit Beasts and introduced Blood Essence Soul Rings and Soul Spirit Contracts. 245 A century later, the Spirit Hall Empire transitioned into a republic through referendums and constitutional amendments. 250
