Gu Yuena awakens beneath the Lake of Life when the Core of Life becomes active. The Core’s increasing activity rapidly restores her strength, bringing her to peak Rank 1 Deity power. She emerges during Tang San’s attack on the Star Dou Great Forest, condemns the Origin Sea’s intrusion into the Dragon God’s homeland, and destroys Tang San’s Origin Sea Projection with Void-Rending Claw. 167

Tang San then transports Gu Yuena, Ling Feng, Qian Renxue, Hu Liena, and Di Tian into the Dual Extreme Purgatory. Gu Yuena protects the group with Nine-Colored Dragon Power, though both the Origin Sea’s assimilating force and annihilating energy pressure her severely. 168

When the Abyss of Nirvana opens and attempts to send undead toward the Lake of Life, Gu Yuena tries to seal the passage herself.
