The two people who had kidnapped Hermione were no ordinary men. Both were Soul Masters; one was a Soul Ancestor, while the other was a Soul King-level Soul Master.

With Zhao Xuan's speed, he could have caught up to them in the blink of an eye. Yet he did not do so. Instead, he concealed his aura and quietly followed after them.

Hermione should have merely been knocked unconscious, so her safety was not a concern for now. However, he had to find out what those two Soul Masters were after.

The two moved swiftly, racing through the night. They passed the commercial district, crossed the commoners' quarter, and headed straight out of the city.

Though lighting Soul Tools were low-grade Soul Tools, they were still beyond the means of ordinary people. Not a single streetlamp stood in the vast commoners' quarter. In the darkness, only faint candlelight flickered, while large stretches of buildings lay shrouded in shadow.

Dogs in the commoners' quarter barked wildly, sensing the unusual presence beneath the night sky.

Their owners opened their doors and poked their heads out to look around. Seeing nothing unusual, they patted their dogs on the head and scolded them for barking at nothing. The dogs could only let out aggrieved whimpers.

The two unknown Soul Masters did not leave through the city gate. They quickly scaled the wall beside the commoners' quarter and, under cover of darkness, fled before the patrolling soldiers could notice them.

Zhao Xuan followed closely behind, controlling every fluctuation from his body, including his Soul Power and breathing. He also covered himself with his divine sense, using his Computer Spirit to simulate the surrounding environment.
