Now, the Heaven Dou Empire and the Sacred Heaven Dou Empire, the Spirit Pagoda and the two major Churches were all focused on the Demon Empire. Tang Sect's top combat forces were mainly keeping watch on the Holy Spirit Cult to prevent them from massacring the hostages. Meanwhile, some families, such as the Dragon Family and the Fei Family, had to deal with various internal dangers and non-combat matters, such as protecting the highways used to transport supplies and monitoring unstable factors like the Mercury Consortium. Thus, aside from its own forces, the Douluo Federation could only rely on the mercenary groups controlled by the major clans.

The Dark Nebula Mercenary Group was mainly responsible for covert work and did not participate openly at all. Even the members of the Shadow Mercenary Group and the Assassin's Guild, along with those Kabbalah captives, had been sent over to the Dark Nebula Mercenary Group. Even some of Li Hong's vampires had joined it. This was an important reason why their power had expanded so quickly. As for the remaining mercenary groups, nearly all of them had no intention of getting
